Dr. Jeannette Montufar is Founding Partner and CEO of MORR Transportation Consulting, and Co-Founder of TRAINFO Corp. She is a registered professional engineer in Manitoba and Alberta, and a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and Road Safety Professional.
Dr. Montufar was professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba for 13 years, during which time, she published nearly 250 technical papers and reports on road safety, freight systems, vulnerable road users, traffic engineering, and others. She has nearly 25 years of experience working in Canada, the U.S., and Latin America on projects dealing with these topics. Dr. Montufar has been an active member of various professional organizations for over 20 years including the Transportation Association of Canada, where she is current vice-chair of the Transportation Technology Council, and the U.S. National Academies of Science and Engineering, where she served as Chair of the Truck Size and Weight Committee. She currently serves as Chair of the Council of Canadian Academies Expert Panel on Connected and Automated Vehicles and Shared Mobility.
Dr. Montufar has received over 20 local, national, and international awards for her contributions to transportation engineering, transportation education, and transportation research and development. She is Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Engineers Canada, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
